EXACTLY WHAT I SAY! Honestly, I just moved from the 85 to yz125, I honestly think riding the 125's in MXS has helped A LOT with my jumping, I used to be so causious, that how you spell it? haha, about jumps, like oh if I hit there people have gone over the bars, or off the back of the bike, I honestly think now when coming up to jumps I've never done before, like oh forget it, lets do it. I really dont think about it much anymore.
ShackAttack12 wrote:MXS has helped me by keeping the fundamentals fresh in my mind. That's about it.

For example, i put my leg out in every corner because I'm used to seeing my rider do it in MXS and it keeps me thinking about it.

When the back end of my bike kicks out, i know how to react and how to input the bars to compensate.

Knowing when to sit down and when to stand up on the bike is another thing, particularly in straight bumpy sections.
I took out the thing that shack said about suspention, my dad does all that  BUT, these have also improved since I've gotten back to MXS and started riding the yz, makes a difference this game, not much, but still enough to notice.

It definitely helped me with starts. I noticed that my response time became quicker.
So thanks MXS

i think riding in real life made me better in mxsim. not turned around. i know what the bike is gonna do in the sim because i know what it does in real life. i ride the same way in game as in real life riding in real life made me better in this game not turned around. i know when to stand up in real life so i do it the same way in game. thats how i see it.

Exactly what I was thinking
honestly tho guys who say mxs gave them more confidence at jumping ... that has to be the biggest joke lol I quote whoever said this in mxs u have a cuple of piviting points to control the bike in real life u have thousands there realy is no comparisson
the only help it could give is with starts but thats just bassic hand eye coordination u get that from going OUTSIDE hint hint and throughing a ball

Last I counted my body doesn't have thousands of pivot points. That doesn't matter though as your argument is completely irrelevant anyways. Confidence is mental, and has nothing to do with the actual control of the bike. Nobody is claiming to have learned how to jump a dirt bike through MXS, just that it gave them the confidence to try it.

I guess in your super rewarding OUTSIDE life things like reading comprehension, spelling and grammar must not be of much value. To that I say amen, do what makes you happy. I just have one question. How in the world can you find a job?

Why not? I learned to eat mushrooms and chase after glittering stars from Mario. And playing super smash bros was the perfect compliment to my real martial arts training. Don't make me go super-sayan on your ass.

Developing good instincts about gyroscopic effects can only help your real life air control, and the game lets you experiment without breaking your neck. It's sort of like a poor man's foam pit in that sense.

For starts you're better off practicing with your real bike. That's the only way you'll get to know your bike's clutch.

I've often wondered if when JLV started developing MXSIM if it was originally planned to be a game or an accurate simulation for practical purposes.

Mx Sim, actually helped me with like my real riding skills. like say on a bumpy section I now stand up instead of bouncing on my ass like what I used to do :)). Also like coming into corners and when in a corner I know have the proper body positioning like in MXS
