I've done as many searches as i can think of and looked through the FAQ but can't find any questions relating to this problem..
On some of the downloaded tracks the AI riders dont seem to work properly.. what am i doing wrong?? i have the latest snaphot, downloaded all the textures etc.. i can find and put all the tracks in my mxsim directory in one folder from the the main eg: d:\mxsim\glenelen\..
Any help appreciated, sorry if this has been asked and i missed it!!
While i'm 'on'. my first post...

is it on all tracks or just some?
Ifs its on just a select few its because there are no timing gates set on the track.

generally the tracks you DL are made for racing humans not ai,so the track makers don't bother to train the ai,thats why they either don't start or stop somewhere. so if you want to get the ai working you can train them yourself. best thing is remove the novice/amatuer/expert lines files from the track folder (not possible if saf.)and so start fresh, a new one will be created automatically when you ride the track.
then do 2 clean laps,a start lap and a normal lap, WITHOUT crashing, and go at a steady pace not balls out. if you give the ai easy lines and nice and steady, they learn quicker, once they all can get round they'll get quicker as more lines get put down and they'll find faster lines for themselves. but be aware as you get faster, they'll usually reach a point when they'll start crashing a lot again, cos they're trying to copy you but just can't cut it
so then you can either start again making a new lines file or save a copy before they start to mess up, then you can go back to that.
if you want faster competition then DL a race demo from a track you know and race that or join a jffr race, they're run quite often.
