HELP Windows 7 mx.exe has stopped working

Post by jones22 »

Hi, i need some help on making the demo work, when i download and install the demo and try to run it it says mx.exe has stopped working.
And i have tried deleting it all then re downloading and that doesnt help, i have also turned my firewall off thinking it was maybe blocking something but that didnt help.

I had the demo on my old laptop which was vista and that worked fine but that broke and i want to buy the full game for my new one but im not going to buy if the demo doesnt even work ?

Can anyone help ?

That's usually a graphics driver problem. Should be the same with both the demo and full version so don't buy it until you resolve the issue.

Install the driver from the manufacturer's web site.

For ATI graphics chips go here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

For Intel graphics chips go here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx

For NVidia graphics chips go here: http://www.nvidia.com/page/drivers.html

I didn't know Intel cards actually required drivers.
I thought it was just a piece of cardboard they used to plug up the slot.
