Demo Questions

Post by Joedidyjoe »

I uninstalled MX Simulator Demo AGES ago. Now i got it again, and seeing how much the full version progressed, i have a few questions.

Where can i change the colour of the biker? I remember being able to change it.

And do skins work in the demo? ( I know extra tracks don't)

And why is the full version £30+ ? Thats a hell of a lot.

I can answer a few questions
1. Where can i change the colour of the biker? I remember being able to change it. - As far as i remember from the demo you could either choose from default or alt1. thats as far as i know on that question.

2. And do skins work in the demo? - Yes they should work but only if you put them in your Personal Folder. Only skins though. No models.

3. And why is the full version £30+ ? Thats a hell of a lot. - The reason its that much money is because of various reasons. E.g All of the time, hard work and effort put into the game. JLV (Maker) made this game all on his own. All the coding all from scratch. It's taken a good two years, and it still isn't COMPLETELY finished yet. Also it's not just any old game, Its a simulator. Where people can upload all their tracks and skins. It brings out the best in Motocross, the way you can dive into a corner pinned and the best thing about it is that as it's a game you have no sense of fear, so you can whip Loroco's leap without a second thought.
Some people also say it's helped them improve on their riding In real life.
So it's more that just a game.

Please mistake me if i am wrong.

Ok, thank you. On the price, i do respect the amount of work that has gone into this fabulous game, but i still think about that price.

And i actually meant can you change the colour of the Bike, not the biker. My fault.

And how do i install skins, please?

Every single bike model works with the demo. And with the newest yz250f and yz125 models by DJ, the demo is progressing without updates, haha.

This is most confusing.

I put this "VillopotoDaytona" skin in my personal folder AND my Programme Files folder, and it still doesn't work. The tutorial makes no sense.

To use rider skins you have to get the rider model that it goes with. You can not put new models in the demo. You can put skins in. So find out what models you are using and get the skins for that.

The good stuff is for the full version. So PAY UP

....Just kidding.....

Yeah you do need the full version for all skins etc.

But the full game really is awesome. New rider physics etc.

It doesn't go into your program files folder, it goes into your personal folder. Assuming you are running Windows Vista you have to click your start button and go through your start menu to the mxsimulator menu and the personal folder link will be in there. You need to put all skins and tracks into the PERSONAL folder.

it shouldnt be named that anyways. It has to be rider_body-name. Or something like that. Look it up and you will find it.
