I use the keyboard too... for suspension im running like 35,50,20,70 for the suspenstion settings, gearing depends on the track, and i usually run between 12-15 stability...

Thing is no matter what you do...

it will always come down to patience and practice...

Yes you can get a controller, yes you can change your settup but still no matter what you do, to run with the best... you need practice, lots and lots of practice :D

yes practise is needed

however, while practising.... changing setups ( which people have given on the forum ) will work in a posistive way to develop the gaming skills.
so any small setup details is much more helpfull than "practise" ( especcialy for sx )....... but dont get me wrong practise is the way foward 95% of the time

run lots of forward rider spring, and little damping, it gives you alot of bike control...

Which means that 95% of comments should be about practice... 8)

Also it is alot about how you practice:
Dont whip at all!
Dont try going 100%, maybe 80% but try to make a complete lap or as many in a row as possible
Dont lean back! - I think leaning back should be used to supplement your riding style, not revolve around it. If for example you are going nose first over every single jump it isnt because you aren't leaning back something you are doing is wrong...

IMO leaning back should be used to make an extra line, maybe a line where you need to be max revs and thus might go over the bars if you dont lean back
