Thank you.jlv wrote:The last 1/4 is about the same as before.yzmxer608 wrote:I've been meaning to ask, is the last 1/4 the same as it was before, and now everywhere else is just softer, or is the last 1/4 stiffer and everywhere else is softer? I'm assuming it's the first but just making sure.jlv wrote:It's softer everywhere except the last 1/4 of the travel, so I expect you'd have to run it a bit stiffer to make up for that. Also, the shock preload has a much larger range now. The bike actually sags correctly now so it needed it. You'll definitely have to completely redo your suspension setup.

why doesn't the shock compress anymore when you're hitting the rear brake in the air?
has anyone noticed that or is it just me?

With the new progressive rear shock, you'll have a softer setup in back. That might account for the better grip you noticed.

I play on an extremely sensitive setup,
-sub 10 leveling, roll damping, roll limit angle, steering damping, and slow damping speed
-sub 40 vertical and forward damping, +90 forward and vertical spring
this update is extremely noticeable and in a good way. The rear, once properly setup, feels SOO much more 'planted' and predictable. I really enjoy the changes this snapshot has brought and feel it gives sensitive users an advantage, if they can get their setup right.
If you're not liking the changes, chances are your setup is just off and you need to find the sweet spot again for your vertical and forward damping/spring values. Once you do, it's great.

JLV, do you have any progress pix from the new models? I love those renders!

Nothing that looks cool. I've been doing boring stuff like uv mapping and low res meshes. I'd post some screenshots of the low res version but it's incomplete and I'm not happy with it right now.
