Why cant i download skins?

When i download a skin it doesnt download in a folder, the logo is a blank piece of paper? is this right, im new to the game sorry if this is dumb!

You need to download an extractor, like winrar, and extract the files first. Or the file you downloaded was a .saf in which case you just drag that file into your personal folder.

I have winrar, so i just extract them straight into my personal folder? also how do i know which skin is which in game?

Bike skins are most commonly found under rmz450 2013 or 2011 and yz250f or sxf250, both 2009's. Of course not specifically all skins are under there, but a majority.
