MXS money hungry

Post by Tommy Black #77 »

personally I think its dumber then hell to pay for a bike. I haven't been here for the good o'l days but from what I heard people made bikes for fun. I understand but from what I heard jay is charging 800$ (correct me if I'm wrong) but that's stupid. I'm not gonna say "what happened when people do it for fun" because like I said I haven't been here that long, but damn its kinda hard to get a good looking bike for nothing. on that note net me know what you guys think, like I said personally money for a in game object that's more then 5-10$ is to much. I understand that oh CSGO people buy knifes but that game was "built" I guess u can say for buying in game stuff for that much. from what I get from other post in the forums it looks like this community was built off of making skins and bikes for fun.

Pretty sure Jay isnt charging 800$ for his models. I´ve heard 100$ at one point but dont quote me on that. 800 to 100 is a big difference. Considering the time he spent creating it 100$ isnt a whole lot but on the other hand its a game and 100$ is a bit steep. It doesnt bother me one bit tho since its extremely easy to just NOT buy it.

You are saying its hard to get a good looking bike for nothing when there is TONS of free models available. Heck, I cant even think of a 2016 bike model that isnt available for free right now. Anyhow, your statement is weak as most of the models are available for free unless you want every little piece of air filter logo or triple clamp color exactly the way the current model is. In terms of frame and plastic models (which is what everyone will see anyway) I believe they are all available for free.

The graphics are also there with templates for you to create your own skin, FOR FREE :).
There is even people in this community willing to make you a skin for free if you ask nicely.

If you want that exact premium quality super talented skinning guy? Yeah you might need to pay a few bucks for it but considering the time that person took to learn all these things, evolve their talent and putting an extra amount of time into your skins to make them AAA quality, whatever he´s charging is probably a bargain (within reason ofc).

Yeah there is alot of dickheads trying to charge 1-5$ for skins or whatnot but its the easiest thing in the world to just ignore them. Whining about it just gives them the attention they are looking for anyway.

The reason Jay charges for most of his models, is because they're way too high quality to give away. He sells most of them on turbosquid, and if I'm not mistaken, modelling is one of his sources of income (correct me if I'm wrong)
