Just wondering if the "Erode" feature is still being tweaked with so its permanently part of racing? to add to the realism.
Im pretty sure this was the initial hope for this but i dont know if ppl are still into it or not?

Re: erode feature
I really hope something comes of it. Instead of the tracks already being blasted with breaking bumps and huge ass ruts the first lap I think it would be amazing if they formed throughout the race.

Re: erode feature
So ive taken a long break from mxs after nationals, and I read this thread and realized ive never tried to use the erode feature. This totally got me back into sim. I really thought it wasn't going to form nice ruts or degrade the track in a consistent way, but its awesome.
I'm sure its an insane amount of work to have this on multiplayer but it would be better then any new dynos any day of the week.
The sweet spot I found for myself is "erode40" I can do 20 laps on a supercross track and it feels really natural and by the end i'm doing much different lines. Sometimes their even bigger then what I could do the first lap, due to the fact that the rut helps keep speed in the turns. And some sections slow down too, but that's also fun.
I figured that for a typical race (20-22 man gate) "erode2" or "erode3" would be about the same as one person at "erode40"
Like I said, i'm sure that this would take a total rewriting of a lot of the code for the game. Not to mention a strain on everybody's computer and internet. So I doubt it will ever happen, but man it would be awesome.
