Casual track of the week series?

Post by jlv »

Would anyone be interested in a super casual "track of the week" series where we nominate tracks to race on, vote on them, and have a race every week?

It could be a good way to get into organized racing for newbies and also give some forgotten tracks the attention they deserve.

I like the idea, yeah maybe sim isn't the most popular game right now, but theres still hundreds of people who don't play bikes and play sim instead.

Yes PLEASE!!! I think this would be a perfect excuse to try to get some of my friends that used to play back into the game. Might even get one of them motivated to start building tracks again 8)

I think it would at the very least provide some casual racing that people would participate in. I would be very down for it!
However, can we see if we can get new tracks to be released under the casual track name to help them stand out and bring in new content? I am working on a track right now and wouldn't mind releasing it under an example name like "Casual Track Series - Week #6" For example. But I do think there are hidden gems out there that not everyone has played. I.e every single one of haqqgvist's tracks. So maybe every other week is a new track and an old 'revived' track? I wouldn't mind trying to pump out a few fun and good looking tracks for this.

I like the idea and at this point sim needs something on the table to offer right now.
If you like my tracks and wanna support, paypal or venmo @evanwebb110

Yes sounds like a great idea. There few to no fun races happening right now.

I've been trying to talk the RF guys into hosting more series aimed towards Ams, this would be sick.

If it's a vote I'm pretty sure any good new track would win easily, so it'd probably just take care of itself. And if you made tracks for this that'd be awesome.

For a slow guy like me I miss participating in RF but I had become an obstacle rather than a competitor!

What day should we do this? I'm thinking Mondays or Tuesdays to not conflict with any RF stuff?

What about Friday nights? Could be a good way to start the weekend and I feel like more people would be available that night too!

I love the idea. Just curious, what will you do if there is over 40 riders? Qualifying?
