Ok. I get the desktop thing, and I would except I don't have the room, I'm 15, I don't want to spend a lot, and I know it is possible with a laptop, cuz I just used my dad's old one 2 days ago and it does fine. Thanks for all the help guys.jbrandmx85 wrote:Trust me, I used a laptop for a long time in MXS. I did everything I could to better performance. Stay away from them if your using it for mxs. Get a desktop. Laptops have integrated graphics. So even if you buy an expensive laptop eventually its gonna be crap.Jlillywhite23 wrote:Oh. You can't put a graphics card in a laptop?SMR 510RR wrote:You cant just add a graphics card to a laptop like you can with a desktop. That is why desktops are the prefered platform.

We aren't saying that it's not possible, we're just saying you aren't going to do good with a shitty laptop. Trust me, you ride better with better graphics. You can see more of the track's small obstacles. And desktops aren't much more expensive. I'm about to build a sub $600 budget build just for light gaming, and I'm 16 with no job, and no support from my parents. Do what I did. Save money when you get it, sell stuff that you really don't need, and be on the lookout for parts drops. It's better to buy good at first, then to upgrade from shit.
