About the search thing, say I search my team name for a gear set and one set comes up is there a way to cycle through all the gear sets that match what I searched.

First it will try bike-model-skin_norm.png, if that fails, it goes to bike-model_norm.png. The old version would go to bike_norm.png when the skin specific map failed, which was completely wrong.p2sta wrote:how exactly does the new finding maps thing works? How are the maps that don't load for you named?
You can search again with tab. Backspace will clear the search. Sorry, should have mentioned that in the first post.AWood wrote:nevermind. can only search for the first one it finds and go from there. if i type "wood" looking for my gear it brings up the closest one and i can only go left and right using arrow keys from there. Kinda disappointed. but glad to see youre at least making it searchable kinda.
Same if i search for pala, well i have mine im making and a bunch of other ones but i get stuck with whichever the game finds first

2010 Pala National
Pala 2015
AWoods Pala 2015
And i search "pala" wont i always get the same one? an ideal search would give me all 3 to choose from but right now itll just bring me to one?
Same if i searched Anaheim wouldnt it bring me to whichever it finds first?

My bike skins appear really dark, and my gear skins have no norms and look terrible

i know about this, i usually put the rider_body-newrider_norm.png directly in personal folder and kept the skins in the subfolder while working on it, it worked fine, now it doesn'tyzmxer608 wrote:This was the problem I saw before, and is now fixed.p2sta wrote:how exactly does the new finding maps thing works? Simply this doesn't work and did before the update:
Personal Folder/rider_body-model.jm
Personal Folder/rider_body-model_norm.png
Personal Folder/myfolder/rider_body-model-skin.png
This didn't work before and works now (which is the reason for this update i suppose):
Personal Folder/myfolder/rider_body-model.jm
Personal Folder/myfolder/rider_body-model_norm.png
Personal Folder/myfolder/rider_body-model-skin.png

It was a bit of an accident that it worked that way. I'll make it check there too.p2sta wrote:i have the skin in subfolder as mentioned above and i have a saf file directly in personal folder which contains maps for the model (even if i took the map from the saf), but they don't load

Re: 2015-12-07 snapshot
haha, yeah i was kinda confused when you released this update and said previously it was looking for the stock model norm if it didn't find the correct one and yet the way i described worked. But if you can include it in the finding system now too it would be nice. that way i can keep saf with release in the personal folder and have my personalised version in a folder and don't need duplicated mapjlv wrote:It was a bit of an accident that it worked that way. With the rider being harder to knock off when falling short distances, was that intended to decrease random falloffs in the whoops?

Just move your mouse over for example the gear menu, you don't click on it, you just hover over it, and you type the gear you want, it will find gear with the words you typed, and it will show those words highlighted in red. This works with every little menu I think, works for the track menu.yzmxer608 wrote:Seems to have fixed the problems I was havingjlv wrote:Changes:

Re: 2015-12-07 snapshot
Here's a fix for the maps in the top MXS folder but with the skins in subfolders:
http://mxsimulator.com/snapshots/mx-2015-12-11-1289.exe
http://mxsimulator.com/snapshots/mxbin-2015-12-11-1289
http://mxsimulator.com/snapshots/mx-2015-12-11-1289.exe
http://mxsimulator.com/snapshots/mxbin-2015-12-11-1289
Thanks for bringing that up. Is it better now?Wahlamt wrote:Yes, partially.Will93 wrote:With the rider being harder to knock off when falling short distances, was that intended to decrease random falloffs in the whoops?

Re: 2015-12-07 snapshot
Sooooo, I had gone back to the older snapshot, pre-suspension update because I just couldnt get to the spot I was with the new one....But, I downloaded this one and didnt change anything at all and have yet to notice a difference in suspension from this one and the old version I was running. Very happy with this so far, thanks JLV.
