I converted most of the png files to 256 colors and gzipped everything else. Uncompressed it was 560M.

The tracks are checksummed for the new tileinfo system in the last couple of snapshots. They won't match 1.2.

i think about the vote system and , my propose are the next:
1-all , player who bought the game can entry to the vote. and must vote all tracks.
2-use the system of puremx (whre us vote "Displacement Map ,Textures, Objects,Environment,Realism ,Fun Factor )and thats give a overal score of a tracks , at the end of the period of evaluate the tracks, jlv must to amount all the votes for each track and we have a winner on points
if some one no vote all tracks not count for the contest.
ej:
pepe:
track 1
Displacement Map 3
Textures 3
Objects 3
Environment 3
Realism 3
Fun Factor 3
overal 3

track2
Displacement Map 5
Textures 4
Objects 3
Environment 3
Realism 5
Fun Factor 2
overal 3.6

joe
track1
Displacement Map 4
Textures 4
Objects 4
Environment 4
Realism 4
Fun Factor 4
overal 4

track2
Displacement Map 5
Textures 5
Objects 5
Environment 5
Realism 4
Fun Factor 4
overal 4.6

track ranking
track1 3+4= 7
track2 3.6+4.6=8.2

the winner its track2

i hope i was explained well , sorry for my bad english.

The reason that doing the scoring like that is a bad idea is because people could purposely give a track all 1's if they didn't like the person and whatnot. The best way to do it is to give each person 1 vote towards their favorite track.

any way , with this could more manipulated , because , everyone know the frienlyships , and groups out there and can vote for a track in particular, any way the real result are fake. u mean what i tray to say ?.
in my propose could be add a rule , what say , no cant be overall score 1 thats it. and in resume when the vote are exposed , far a way we can see if any track has a full score to make it a winner, because the play who want do that , obviously give a poor score to the other tracks

Well just got done with fully riding all the tracks, and I have to say I'm kinda dissapointed. Alot of these tracks focused on how amazing the roost looked or the realistic skybox. Only a few tracks seemed to focus on the disp map and make sure the jumps flowed together instead of making sure the dirt texture looked good on the randomly placed double.

That's how I feel too. They didn't focus enough on the disp.

A track without a good disp is worthless imo.

I have to agree with puma, most the disp maps were very disapointing.

I don't know if this is really the place for it, but there's not a single piece of specific criticism there.

You guys need to name specifics when giving a review if you want to HELP anyone. "the disp map was disappointing" does not help anyone get better.

I feel the same way but to go even further, I love all of the tracks, but I didn't feel like there was 1 that was the complete package. They all are either great disp, lacking on environment, or boring disp, great environment. None of them were really bad on either account but you get what I mean. I do know that mine falls under the same category too. I can't even tell you how many hours me and lluks spent getting the displacement map as good as possible. As of right now I am undecided on who my vote will go to.

As of right now, best disp goes to Br21. Best environment goes to either DJ or yFMX.

However, yFMX's track was too dark for me to ride correctly, (felt like I was walking around in a pitchblack room drunk.), and DJ's just didn't seem right, mainly the ruts.

But BR21's disp is just fantastic, and the environment isn't flashy or over the top, but it sure as hell got it done better than mine.
