I restarted my computer and haven't had an issue since.
Thanks i just started my computer, and it works.

My controller doesn't work all of a sudden..I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers for it..restarted my laptop..the whole 9..and still nothing...played all night long last night with no issues..fired the game up today and can't get controller to work at all...any suggestions?

Are you using an xbox 360 wireless controler with the usb adapter? I had that setup and the same thing happened, I had to buy a new usb adapter. Now it works fine.
Accomplishments: Nothing, but i almost win all races in 00, 01, 02, 03

It's a wireless Xbox one controller with a USB plug...I don't think it's a USB plug issue cause the laptop recognizes it plugged in

Check your controller settings in game where you set each button. Mine used to reset and I would wonder why it wouldn't work, might not be the issue but at least you can rule that out.

It's the same as the last one.
My game just crashed when I aggresively 'block passed' someone. Got the same error windows as everyone else (Mx Simulator has stopped working).

That one's been around a long time. I think it has something to do with the collisions getting too deep but it's a hard one to catch.
