Race for rF/JLV

Post by SCHAFFERNOCKER »

I figure the best way to find out what people think about my idea is just to ask.

I was thinking about how much work the guys at rF/JLV put into this game for all of us to have something to do with our freetime. All of these guys are constantly working hard to keep all of us young/old kids entertained. (yes, the old guys are still kids at heart).

WE all know how much potential this game has, and how much of a blessing it is for JLV to provide us with a game under the price of $50 dollars that will keep your attention for more then 20 minutes and/or after you complete all of the missions. I myself have been playing for 2 years and still go home everyday wanting to get on the PC and burn a few laps.

I would like to propose an idea, mainly to the mainstream community. Becuause it will have a cost, and there will be people that object to this idea. I was thinking we should have a innagural race once a year that truely pays our respect to the guys that keep MXS moving forward. I would like to set-up two paypal accounts, One for rF, one personally for JLV. The cost of the race would be two dollars, Four quarters, or 20 dimes. One dollar for rF, One dollar for JLV. This race would not involve any points, it is simply just to help raise funds for the guys that sit countless hours behind their computer screen providing each and every one of us with "Free" entertainment. (of course, after your $42 dollar game purchase).

It would be strictly just for "Fun" and to "Help" those who deserve it the most.
There would be no points.
Simple classes that attract big gates.
Two Moto's - 8 minutes plus 2.
A, B, C, Open Old (21+), Open Youth (21- Under).

If I get a good feedback from the community, I will work to make this happen. If not, then at least it never hurts to try.

I would need someone to help put the event on, as I do not have a server, nor internet of the quality to run such an event.

Im definately down for it. I'd have to confirm it with stormz but i am sure he has no issues with allowing it to be ran on his server.

I'd rather have less ban demos to watch and less downloads/keys to resend!

I had no idea RF already had a donation link. I know it was a small contribution, but I just wanted to show some appreciation to you guys! Thanks for all your hard work.

Lol. That's what got me thinking in the first place. I was looking for one on this mxs site. Is there one on here I am just missing?

Ya. Understandable, I'm sure u could gain a lot of time back not having to deal with a lot of immature kids. I was just wanting to help you a bit and I thought of this idea.

This would be a great idea i think. Would be great to have like all the people that came out maybe just get like a certificate, wristband, etc. Just something small that said that we were there for that event :D.

Paid for by the fund, of course, since it's about the attendee's. Tsk...tsk...tsk.

Agreed less protests for us an people complaining and wanting us to constantly change things instead of just enjoying what we put out already (allowing us to work on things that will actually help rf grow)
