Game keeps locking up
As stated my mx simulator keeps locking up. it all started yesterday. i was online doing a race about a lap in and my game completely froze. couldnt exit out our get back to the desktop for anything. then after turning my computer off and then on i tried to play again and same thing happened, only quicker. i thought it might just be online but i cant even run a regular race. i would uninstall it and reinstall but that will be a mess having to redownload every last thing. wondering if there is something else i could try?
and if ur thinking i wont reinstall because i have an illegal version......lick my nuts. i wouldnt do that to jlv or this community.

Re: Game keeps locking up
My computer sometimes locks up after a massive collision from a noob. i.e. If a noob cuts the track and rams me super hard, about 5 seconds later my pc will freeze. This has happened more than once.

yeah i've had my computer freeze way too many times while racing online. I'm pretty sure its just because it's over heating. I just took off the sides of my computer and put and fan next too it. Keeps it cool and has never frozen since.

Re: Game keeps locking up
like mentioned earlier, your computer may be overheating. Are you having any other computer issues? has it been operating any slower?

Re: Game keeps locking up
It shouldn't need a reinstall, as most of the files are fairly simple. Maybe delete the config file, see how that goes?

I'd look into my video drivers. You might also check if Windows Update installed anything around the time it started locking up.

If you recently upgraded the video drivers you should try going back to the old ones. Sometimes the latest driver is the one with the bug.

Re: Game keeps locking up
ya ive been messing with the drivers alot lately. i actually did the roll back thing and im on an older one that i kno worked. ill see if it will help. no way my computer should be over heating. i removed the side cover then cleaned it out a bit and let it sit with a fan blowing on it for 5 hours then fired it up and still couldnt run a race by myself for more than a lap. dont see how it could get too hot while im getting good enough fps and while i got the side off with a fan going.

Re: Game keeps locking up
I kind of had the same problem once...
It came down to one of the plugs plugging the GPU (Graphics card) into the power supply was a little bit out. I opened up the case and i heard a definite click when it went back in and has been fine since.
So check all the power connections to all you major components.
