Brand new player here

Post by Mg870 »

So I made the plunge, gentlemen. I finally stopped staring at the demo I only played for about 45 minutes, and purchased the game after watching countless youtube videos.

That being said, I'm new as s**t, I've spent my day in the stock server finishing mid pack, with 2 3rd place finishes 8) While I'm starting to get the hang of it I go on the pro national tracks and ride like a moderately handicapped ape. Hoping for any tips/advice anyone has for me, so far the community has been awesome in helping me out in-game.

Also looking for any teams that may be willing to take in a new rider and show me the ropes, I'm learning quickly, but obviously I have loads to learn yet.

If you are on arcade take it off. You will more thank likely be raging for a couple months but go slow and start with your stability at like 80 and then take it down by 5 or so when you feel like you can ride a lap without wrecking or even a couple of laps. It will take you time to get the hang of it but once you do it is the most rewarding game in the world. Also you should start on a 125. It will help you with corning speed starting out.

Nope! Like I said, I've spent a fair amount of time watching youtube videos and reading about setups, I read an in depth explanation on how every setting effects your ride, took a setup found in a video from CBL gaming on youtube, and made a few minor adjustments after I found some things I wanted changed.

I jumped right in to a what is apparently a pro setup, I spent the first few hours barely able to make a turn without falling. There was a guy in the server for hours and gave me a lot of advice that helped a lot, I tend to be within 20-30 seconds of the leaders best laps with my best laps (stock tracks, of course), but I lack the consistency. It's been frustrating but as you said, it's absolutely brilliant how rewarding it has been for me :D
