Logitech F710 Controller Connection Issues

Post by Ddavis »

Every time I start up my PC the LED light blinks and it doesn't ever connect. I don't know how but I got it to connect yesterday for the race, but today it doesn't work. It's done this 9/10 times starting up my PC, yes the batteries are new and yes its a brand new controller. I want to just go buy a new one, thinking that this one just might be a bad controller in general, but I don't want to go pay money to go have it do this shit again. If anyones had an issue with this controller or any wireless controller let me know what to do, thanks! Yes I've updated as many drivers as I can find as well.

I used to have a Logitech F710. I had the exact same problem, very disappointed. Its the only Logitech product that has failed me thus far. It lasted me about 4 months before it had connection issues. Even after installing fresh batteries it would disconnect randomly, or not connect at all. Was going to buy another one thinking it was just a lemon. I'm (sort of?) glad someone else is having the same issue. It was great while it lasted, but it doesn't last very long...

If I were you I would go out and get a different controller. You can buy another F710, but how long will it last? I would rather suffer the almighty hell of taking 2 weeks to get used of a different controller than have another F710 fail on me. I personally got a PS3 controller, because I hate how Xbox controllers have the left joystick at the top.

If you're looking for quick fix solutions, I don't have any, sorry.

Here's a video of when my beautiful controller first started showing signs of the problem :( At first I thought it was just low battery, but after changing the batteries multiple times it never fixed anything. Just progressively got worse until it stopped working.

(Skip to 1:37) It happens a couple times throughout the whole race. Didnt know it was the start of the death of my controller at the time. You can see me veer off track sometimes or gas sticks xD

I liked the f510 but it looks like they stopped making/selling them? The f310 honestly works and I found an old one in my drawer and it works, but the analog sticks are just such poor quality and don't last long. I actually never had an issue with my old f710, I just got this new one just since its a new year and my old one is almost a year old, and now I'm having the same problems with my old one!!!

I turned off automatic pc updates, could it possibly be because there's an update waiting to install? Causing it to not connect?

Im not sure... If you're old one isnt working either now then it has to be a pc issue. I don't really know though, sorry
