I need help with riding techniques and snapshots

Hey guys I had a couple questions that could really help me if answered. First of all when going into corners does leaning the rider or dabbing help at all or is it not really needed? Also I can't figure out how to hit a big jump correctly without endoing. Every time I hit a jump I lean forward then lean right on the face of the jump and my rider just kind of air wheelies and I just tap the back brake to level him out. It looks awful and goony. Lastly what are snapshots and how do I install them?

Snapshots are "not well tested" updates to the game.

Practice by going slow and steady. Pull back right before you leave the jump

Turn up the Model Geometric/Model Texture Detail sliders in the Graphics/Sound menu

I turned up those graphics and the logos and stuff on the bike are still blurry and I downloaded a pack of alpinestar tech 10 boots and I want to put a pair on with my gear set, how do I do that?
