Server creation help!

Im getting pretty frustrated with this server thing. i downloaded the server creation thing by josh but i dont understand it. some help would be awsome

sweet. but im still not sure what to connect to in mulitplayer. i tried my ip adress and my ip:19800 but i got nothin

When you started your server, did the black cmd window stay open?

yea it did. but wat am i supose to connect to?

When connecting to your own server, you have to use 127.0.0.1 as the ip, everyone else uses your regular ip.

just my regular ip, without :19800 or somethin. cuz my friends tryin it not and its not connecting them tho. im connect tho

If the 19800 port is defined in your args file they can add the :19800 to the end. You might have forward your ports for 19800.

so they would type in 69.250.105.95:19800? my ip btw
and we tryed that but it didnt work

Yeah they would use that. What does the server prompt say when they try to connect? Does it tell you any error?

he said it just keeps saying contacting server over and over again

well i was lookin through my network thing and there were two ip adresses. i had the wrong ip adress cuz when i tried the other one it worked. and i figured out the track.info thing. by the end of the week im guna have like a "mtf" goin. i made this track with all different stuff on it. not released yet but its soo awsome. been workin on it for 2 weeks now
