You're better off sending the commands through an ssh connection if you're trying to do it remotely. The xcmd stuff is just to give local scripts some control over the server.

jlv, is there a way to have two people using the same uid on the same server? My brother usually plays on my computer since it can actually run the game well, but we tried to play each other on my private server (same network, different computers) and I realized it kicks one of us out because he's just using my key. I'd like to not have to buy another one, though I will if it's necessary I guess

Did he enter the port number too, and did your forward that port in your router?

im not good with this type of stuff, but I followed everything and went to multiplaer and did the 127.0.0.1 and just says connecting... not sure what to do from here, thanks in advance

when I double click the mxserver.bat file thing it says server started then line after says "bind:programmer to lazy error
