First full bike rig test video
Ok at last I kinda have a video of the first full rig system test. This is with GP500 and with full handlebar and switch control, except clutch which GP500 does not have and foot shift and foot rear break unit. Sorry for size of video and not showing the foot controls but my GF just got rear ended in Atlanta and could not be here to help with video. I should be doing another with GPBikes later today. I am still getting used to MX so video will come soon.

Looks really sweet. But I have an idea for you, and it wouldn't be hard to do seeing what you've already built. I'll model it then post up a screenshot.

Thanks m8, yep tried it but this setup is more for street and perfect. I am working on a sit on system and a pure MX unit too. Will post ASAP.

we thought the same thing, i was making this image to show him this would steer better.ddmx wrote:Here ya go. Would a simple bracket to position the bars on top of the tube there work? I feel it would be a ton more natural, I suppose you might have already tried this though?

Guys please understand this is a street setup, and I have been testing for years altogeather to get it right. I KNOW for MX I have to change it but not quite as you have said, I know a better way but am keeping it under wraps till I have tested it fully. You will not be dissapointed.

Re: First full bike rig test video
all i wanna say is that your the BEST, your the only one i know that made it to work.
i tried to make my own steering wheel.

i saw my steering wheel to a half steer or something
, didnt work out as i was hoping for.
the reaction of the controller is just fucked up.

Re: First full bike rig test video
OK heres the second video on the 990 at Seca. I have done 3rd person view as so many asked for it. When my GF gets back to FL we will try to shoot some good stuff including foot controls.

Re: First full bike rig test video
looks very nice but i've got 2 questions.
first off in the youtube videos I notice a tiny bit of lag between controller and game. is this just the movie/youtube? or is there a slight delay in the controls?
secondly, I wonder how this setup is supposed to work with MXS. seeing as MXS uses a much different way of steering the bike.
In MXS you steer the bike to a side, keep on steering and the angle will increase, do nothing and the angle stays the same.
for example you steer the bike to a 30 degree angle and then stop steering it will remain at 30 degrees untill you steer in the oposite direction.
the way your controller works is in a leaning angle instead of steering. what i mean is you lean the bike to 30 degrees and as long as you keep the controller in that position the bike will remain at 30 degrees. in mxs however if you keep it at 30 degrees the angle will contineu to increase untill you move the controller all the way back.
the reason that this happens is because MXS works with steering, and this steering influences the leaning. there is a setting called Direct steering in MXS which conntrolls this i believe (not entirely sure how it works, don't have mxs on this pc so i cant try). but wouldn't that take away a lot of the controll over the bike?

Re: First full bike rig test video
Hi Servatis, firstly, no there is no lag in the reaction from bars to the bike, what you have to remember is the angle i filmed at changed quite a lot of the relationship, I was surprised to see it too but in the game it is spot on. As to MXS, I have only just installed the full version after getting win 7, I have not had a real chance to use it, but it felt better than any other controller out there m8. I have a design I need to play with and will then release videos and pics of it here. It will be for MXS only, not road bikes. You guys want to try doing it then maybe you would understand how hard it is to get right. If you can do better then do it!

Looking awesome man, looks so much more fun to ride with real controls.
Also loving the throttle blip on downshifts, made me smile

Dragon, its impossible to reach these dipshits...see how quickly you got flooded with whining and bitching. Of course someone will say "this is an MX sim, so why post here" nice work tho.
