What are you guys using to capture video
I was wondering if there are any free programs out there that work to record videos for mxs. I have looked at fraps and im not gonna spend $37 dollar on just that. Are there any free ones out there or some around $10 that have decent quality.

yeah but that has a logo thing on the video when you record it and you have to buy it to get rid of it. I dont want logo's on it.

Re: What are you guys using to capture video
Well i tried fraps and it lags as soon as i start recording i have tried a bunch of the settings to get it so it doesn't lag but it didn't work. Anyone know of any other programs out there that wont lag so much.

its not fraps. your computer probably cant handle it. you could try gamecam or something. im pretty sure it puts a logo in the video, but if it lags theres no point in spending money on any program if your computer cant even record things. you know?

Use this:
http://mxsimulator.com/benchracing3/vie ... xsim#p9556
It will run slow in game, but the recorded video will look normal

I dont see what the big deal is when people ask questions. If you guys want more people to keep playing this game i think you should at least help people instead of yelling at them saying its already been posted. I mean some of you guys get all hyped up over questions on the forum. You guys answered my question though thanks for that.Showtime wrote:does anyone read a 4 page topic before they ask questions anymore?

i agree, but if there is a only a few posts in the thread and someone asks the same question that has already been answered, i dont see a point in asking that question again unless you add more specifics to the problem.

Re: What are you guys using to capture video
Fraps is pretty strange. I can run all settings maxxed with shaders on and be at 125 FPS and when I have Fraps running in the background it will drop to around 100 FPS, but then when I start recording with Fraps it will start the recording at about 80 FPS and over 1-2 seconds it steadily drops until it hits 25 FPS. I have it set to record at 60 but it still drops down to about 25. It just seems odd for my framerate to drop so much. I haven't really played with it much. Its not a huge deal, I just don't know if anyone else has this.
BTW I have the Sapphire HD5770 graphics card and I would think it would be plenty good enough to record video.

Re: What are you guys using to capture video
Fraps definitely is weird, I've been reducing my in-game res to 1280x720 when I record just so it'll be less of a hit (will also be in the HD res right away so no weird proportion stuff happens when it's in Youtube HD).
Would this cause the video to be lower quality, since the 1280x720 is stretched across the screen, or does that not matter to Fraps?
