Anyone can become a skinner/modeler. Anyone can get to the level described in the first post. If you really want to be at that level, you can get there, it's not like some people are cheated out of it.

I think it's a good thing, IF it doesn't make people feel better than others, when they have the rank.

Now, i don't think ratings, or how many things you make for the community would be able to get you into this. I think you should be able to get into it when everyone can come to an agreement that "Oh yeah, Jimmy1234 here has really proved himself as being a good contributor to this community", you know? The only problem is that you would need a trusted and unbiased person to start, and pick someone. After that, i think that the people picked for this group could also be the people who make the agreement to add another person.

that´s true, all of us started knowing nothing about skinning or modeling, anyone can kick our butts if he get into it and practice a lot.
gio didnt knew nothing about shading and that stuff and in a month or so he was the best skinner here.

i agree with that, it sounds fair to me.

Skinner of the Month: May 2010

just an idea..
Please, do not take me wrong and I am not making fun of you, but that just sounds stupid, I mean, its just like McDonalds. So for each 'employee of the month' it would be necessary to post a pic of themselves smiling and showing us their huuuuuge zits on the face.
I dont think it is really necessary, everyone knows how much they are important and that they deserve respect
