RC dirtbike

Post by Axle McOctane »

I know this is a long shot, but I was thinking that it would be so cool if JLV got together with a company that makes serious gas-powered RC cars to make a legit, non-toy gas-powered RC dirtbike. It would be hard as hell for most ppl to operate, but the whole thing could be based off of the programming for MXS and be virtually identical to playing the game, except that it is IRL but scaled much down. There could even be a 1st person camera that feeds onto your tv/computer.

Not likely to happen, I know, but it would be pretty sweet.

how are you suppose to base a RC off the building of a video game they are completely different

if you want a RC dirt bike there are a few hobby grade rc bikes heres one

That is a toy. I don't think you quite comprehended. I'm not a computer guy, and but I realize programming an RC dirtbike is different from a computer, but theoretically it would be possible to have an RC dirtbike that can be ridden just like how we play MXS.

And how do you think that RC bike works that Joe posted? EXACTLY how MXsim works, you control the throttle and handlebars with your controller and physics does the rest. The only way I think you could get it closer is linking a little first person cam on the front and using a 360 controller which wouldn't be too hard. If you're wanting manual gears and clutch, rider lean and all that jazz then good luck finding somebody who has thumbs quick enough to control that thing.

Not really. If you took the stabilizer code from MX Sim and replicated it on an RC bike I imagine it would work better than the gyros that they currently use.

wish I knew how to do that, those gyros have all kinds of strange effects on how those rc bikes handle.

i gotta agree, stabilizers are about a decade or two old, the gotta get a new way to get those bikes running.

the gyro stabilizer, as jp37r pointed causes some really odd bike movements, on ground and on air :/
