different win percentage calculation idea

I was looking at some stuff on the stats page today and I noticed that lately the percentages of beaten riders for everyone have basically stopped moving around.
And I realized this is because very old results still count towards what you are doing today.

so if someone were to start out with MXS today, the bad online results would still be counted 2 years from now when he might be a very good rider.

So i thought, maybe there is a way to make sure that only the results over the last maybe 2-3 months are counted towards that.
It gives a much better representation of how good the rider is doing. and old results dont hold someone down.

I also had a different idea about the ranking system but I believe I already posted that once so I won't do that again.
I still think there are better ways to do ranking, but I believe this could at least improve upon the current system.

I think it would be cool if there was some kind of split but I definitely don't want to lose the all time stats as I like to see how many total races and such.

yeah I wasn't talking about all stats just the percentage. since that is what we are ranked off of.
but both ll time and yearly would be good

Related but unrelated. It would also be neat to see how many races/laps a user has run on each track. Or a completed laps to total laps figure. Would be interesting in the case that, rider A has the world record, and has run 157 races on that track, whilst rider B has the second place time and has run 8 races on the track.

yeah there should first be a standard on how many races before your eligible for a rank to get rid of the 1 time winners that never ride again to stay there its pretty sad lol. i think 10 stat is good but 20 would be a bit better. I think ppl should be ranked by classification to would be pretty cool to see if your a A rider or not. I always thought this would be a great idea if we had lites and supercross class for the Sx series that would split up the riders to. almost like a career mode but not just like guys like shack, barry, jones ect...... would be a 450 rider and guys like me lol a lites rider but still fun none the less.
