I think the game is great, but I think recovering from a crash is unnecessarily difficult. For those of you who think it should be difficult (perhaps to simulate an injury or damage to the bike) then start your own thread about blood covering goggles or something.
The idea behind having to pick your pick bike back up after a big spill is great, but it is implemented in a way that makes getting up unnecessarily difficult. If you leave auto dab ON and set its top speed to 10 (the lowest setting), you must pick up a generous amount of speed before the riders "foot" will get out of the way and allow you to turn. Following a recovery, this often results in you crossing the entirety of a straightaway at times forcing you to crash again. An additional benefit of the autodab appears to be that the bike sometimes is oriented back toward the track in the direction of travel. If you switch this function off and simply use the manual rider dab, you then lose the benefit of being pointed back toward the track (as you might consider when remounting during a real life race), which can make rejoining the circuit surprisingly frustrating.
What could be changed? Well, one idea might be to allow autodab to be done at a lower speed. Perhaps "5" could be the newest low setting to allow for those of us (all of us) who have enough control to turn the bike before autodab will allow it. On a real bike I can turn on a dime, especially if my foot is out. Why is it in this game I can turn relatively well, but only if my foot is up?
Anyways, take it or leave it, but changing this would make the game a bit more tolerable at times. Also, if your suggestion is to turn arcade physics back on to solve this until I get better at the game, don't bother posting.

I'll lower the minimum setting. The reason it fights you in the game is because it uses a constant pressure during the dab, whereas in real life you automatically lift or press down depending on what you want the bike to do. It's definitely possible to improve it, it's just a little tricky since it has to guess what you want from it.

Re: Unhappy feet

You could just wait until the guys picks the bike all the way up until moving. If auto dab is off, when you pick yourself up you can also turn your self around at the same time.

Thank You JLV
I think that will be the ticket.
I just bought the full version a few minutes ago. Keep this train goin, man! I really missed the strong community of MCM1 and MCM2. That is what sold me on this game, to be sure.

How annoying.
Anyway, waiting until the bike is picked up all the way changed nothing. Perhaps with the autodab off ill figure out how to turn around myself, since you forgot so mention how.

With autodab off, just lean to either side and press the backing up button while the rider is picking himself up and you'll turn at the same time.

Those who possess strength have also known adversity.

It's a good thing Shadow chimed in, because I totally forgot how to turn while getting up, lol. I do it so much that It's just automatic and until I read what Shadow wrote I totally forgot all about the backup button.
And chasteh, it's a joke. Calm yourself.
