Physics physics physics

Post by Shadow »

Ie track objects that are not just static statues but have the physics engine applied to them. Mainly thinking haybales and tough blocks 'cause those are a real pain in most sx tracks, but could be applied to all sorts of objects.
And in the future once more important stuff is done, soft body physics for clothing, bike plastics, tires, adding flex for the frame etc.

As a bonus, improved particle system for better roost, exhaust smoke, dust, roost sticking to the rider/bike/whatever it might hit.

These would all be very welcome improvements. :D

even do some work with the way bikes handle to if you can model for this game then there is a way to get in and do a little work on the bike handeling i know all you guys who are used to it dont wanna change it but for the new people make a set of physics that is fun and you can also lean more then the arcade crap, or when trying to learn how to play and fall over all the time gets old quick....

just an idea im sure no one will go for it but its worth a shot

The sim physics are going to be pretty hard no matter what. I am thinking about changing the arcade physics though. I'd like it to be more like the real physics only with external forces used to save you when things go wrong. Maybe even make it so you could gradually reduce it as a way of learning the real physics.

Hey guys, just looked at this. and i agree. i belive we should have the rider have a little bit more motion to him. or have a foot come off in a whip on his own... idk just suggestions. get back to me when ever if theres anything i can do to help get it going.

please dont make this into rigs of rods where you need like a super computer to do unnecessary shit

The objects would have to have a reset time on them or else you would get tough blocks in the middle of landings like Reed got at St. Louis.
