I meant it would look so sexy, I would have a boner the entire time I was playing, making it uncomfortable...lol

in a few years i see jlv going this route, tons of people are taking advantage with this and communities, i personally like seeing private companies/people doing their own thing. Id make it so jlv dedicated full time towards it. :D

I don't plan on making everyone re-buy it. It sells well enough for me anyway.

I figure I'll just keep adding new features and attracting new customers. In a way it's a ponzi scheme business model but it works for a small game like this.

im not against it, if it was worth it. starting over fresh and clean on everything would be nice i think. the game and forums are pretty cluttered. and who doesnt like more money? :D [insert that baby commercial with jimmy fallon]

What on earth is the point of throwing away everything you've already done? No one does that, not even professional dev studios. You build on what you already have.

lol. thats not what i meant by starting over.

once you are actually playing the game, its fine. im talking more about things like:
-the way you choose your bike, graphics, wheels, gear, helmets. like MvA, you can see what your selecting. not just read words. makes the game more appealing.
-having to sort through dozens of bikes that you cant ride, just to find your own. same with gear.
-having to make special gear sets if you want a different boot or goggle or brace or no brace. instead of just being able to mix match the gear sets.
-same could be said with pipes on the bike and hand guards. again, like the first line, makes the game more appealing and people like to mess around and see different bikes and mess with changing parts. look at ghost recon. they added a badass gun customization system.
-being able to add your name and number on jerseys and have it look half decent. and on any set. with out having to make a whole new skin.
thats all stuff that could make the game way less cluttered full of useless skins.

-an actual load screen
-a more real gate selection process. its part of real racing. i can see who picks what gate and what gates are available. on the game, not so much.
-player profiles. like what racefactory is doing.
-a better server view. as in, knowing who is playing what.

-more realistic flaggers. not paper thin amish guys&jlv's.
-online terrain deformation
-supercross animations. -flames on finishline. the tower that shows the top 5. mechanics that come out with tough blocks in front of them.
--on mechanics subject. each rider having a mechanic thats animated to put the pitboard out as they pass through that timing gate.

this is all stuff that would be well well worth paying over and over again for a "new" game. but instead jlv is working on it for free.

Not really a problem as long as new players keep coming in. It's a ponzi scheme except everyone wins in this one.

Sounds like a dumb idea to me. That's why I didn't comment on it.

LOL
Have you ever thought of making the game build ruts like mvs alive but not as much ruts as mva alive... alives ruts are unreal... you could make it look good in your game!! p.s what did you use to make this game? i am going to make a game and call it growing up. it will be you going on a 50cc and then a 65cc then a 85cc finally a 125 or 250... after a while you will get a choice to move up to a 450 for more speed and more torque!

Sorry if you don't want to answer but I'm just curious. Have you seen a peak of new players coming in? Or is it always getting better? I guess what I'm saying is did the game peak in 2010 for example and it's been slowly selling less and less? Or are we getting more and more players buying per year?

Well, sorry im not on top of things like you are..... Like I said im trying to create my own game like this game but you have to earn exp. to get to a new bike............ but sadly I need the engine that JLV uses for this game.... It might be outdated though. I was originally thinking i would give it to people to Beta it and see how it is.... but i am behind on the work for it... with school and all. All though it is Summer so i have time to catch up. I'm only 14 and it would be awesome for me to make a game. i have taken digital programing and game making classes so i kind of sort of know what im doing. I was thinking i would give it to some people on MXS for free. If it is good enough im thinking of asking JLV to make it MXS2 or something..... I don' think that will happen though. JLV made a hard to top video game!!!!!

jlv- id be happy to pay for major game updates. like when you bring in deformation and shadows ect id be happy to pay say $15 bucks for that. every one else (game developers) does it they just call it DLC. so why cant you! no one expects you to work for free.....and if you dont want to make an mx simulator two, selling dlc makes sense to me....
