Motoboss: That was strange hearing you say that, because you usually complain about the game being too hard

Haha this game has a knack for growing on peopleDJ wrote:Motoboss: That was strange hearing you say that, because you usually complain about the game being too hard

Re: Game Suggestions
The reason you don't put in artificial forces is specifically so it will have real life outcome. Once you stop putting in the equal and opposite force everything falls apart.Shadow wrote:Agree, it's hard enough right now with the number of controls. I wouldn't mind if some of the rider movements or weight shifting would be made automatic or simulate them with artificial forces affecting the bike/rider/riding as long as the outcome would be the same as in real life.

Re: Game Suggestions
It is very hard for me.. lol... alot of things that happen with the bike makes absolutely no sense ....There is definately something lacking or missing with the physics ..Idk what but there needs to be more control over the bike and rider ....as i said before this is obvious just by looking at the way Mx sim tracks are made ...Like highways ... smooth as butter ..IMO it is more of a supermoto simulator than motocross but please dont get me wrong I do love the gameDJ wrote:Motoboss: That was strange hearing you say that, because you usually complain about the game being too hard
No offence intended

Re: Game Suggestions
Motoboss, you have to realize, when you ride a dirtbike in real life you are using all of you're senses and thousands of muscles in unison.
In MXS you have one sense and 5 buttons.......
But i do agree more control is needed, I think a control scheme similar to Reflex would be worth a try. Being able to move the rider in any direction.

Re: Game Suggestions
That would be pretty hard to get used to (for a lot of people it would almost be like learning the game again). The idea is pretty cool, but I'm not sure how it would be to ride like that.
jlv, I was stupid and never tried to use max settings without nhancer settings on various tracks, only time I really get lag is when I have the nhancer settings on. I can ride Beaumont with max settings (256x256 ground res though) with 10 AI and be fine. Sorry for not being more thorough on this before.

Re: Game Suggestions
I have taken everything into consideration...I have been playing for over a year trying to figure out the physics because i would really like to be good at this game and race with you guys ...The bike reactions do not make sense to me its like im riding with no suspention and a non jointed rider ....to soak up the terrain ....
Do you guys realize the definition that is wasted with mx sim tracks (having a 1025x1025 canvas) being able to make really rough terrain and 1or 2 pixel ruts ..Those things are not fun the way it is now but that is the standard in motocross
Sorry for my out burst im probbly making people mad ...but sugar coating is not my strong points...lol

Re: Game Suggestions
One thing to remember is that most tracks we play on are actually larger than real life. In real life, a bump that is axle high is big. In most bumpy tracks we use the biggest bumps are almost up to the handlebars.

Re: Game Suggestions
That's come up to my mind too. Would be interesting to see how the bike would handle if someone made a realistically roughed up track. Btw, is that 1025x1025 the max terrain size in mx sim?

Those who possess strength have also known adversity.
Re: Game Suggestions
There is no limit, but more than 2049x2049 would use a huge amount of memory.

Re: Game Suggestions
Couldn't you experiment with the rider leaning side to side more and then release a snapshot with it, sort of like a beta.Because I want to know what you ment by the difficulties of the rider leaning side to side.

Re: Game Suggestions
eh i think the rider bone structure could be improved let him ride a bit more loose not so rigid and robotic looking,i like what you have done with the leg in corners andddd....cant wait till pixel shaders but ....doesn't that require good models for the bikes to look decent i know wilson has a few nice model that would look good that i have the 3ds version of *cough*release em*cough*

Re: Game Suggestions
I still wish we were able to set the dab speed higher. As of right now he only puts his foot out in REALLY slow corners. 90% of all the turns his feet don't move from the pegs.
