I would get pissed of if i broke my leg in a crash in a important race! But a good idea, it will make it more realistic.Nikhil wrote:Honestly, I'd like to see a rider health system. So crashes could have effects ranging from knocking the breath out of you and taking a while to get going, to a race-ending injury forcing a DNF. It wouldn't need to model the actual effects on the human body, just different consequences depending on how hard you hit.

Despite how annoying this could be, it would keep goons farther away from good riders... At least in outdoors I guess.

Why is everyone always trying to make the game harder for themselves, I just dont understand it. There's making the game more realistic and then there's completely ruining it. Yes improved rider fall off is needed but sustaining injuries that end your race is taking it way too far. No one would ever finish a race if that happened. Look at the crashes that stop the ama riders from finishing races. Jimmy decotis came up a couple of feet short on a triple and broke his elbow. In my opinion it would just take all the fun out of the game.

I was thinking sort of the same.
Basicly allow the bone breaking feature only for rF championships and whatnot. Would make the racing that much interesting!

Seriously u guys, he's right. Let's leave all that the same and work on just the rider crashing... It's a video game there ment to be fun. Not come up short once and your race is over.

I'm all for race ending crashes! It will clean up the racing more than rF suspending dumb riders ever will. In all car racing sims race ending car damage is part of the game, it only adds to the excitement...

That's the point, so many people ride around like retards, t-boning the crap out of others and going for crazy gaps they can't hit every lap. Having health would make you ride more like you do in real life.BuddyTheElf wrote:Why is everyone always trying to make the game harder for themselves, I just dont understand it. Re: rider falloff
You will still get T boned but it will be even worse than before because when someone sends you flying over the berm it will give you a race ending injury aswell. Think about it. If anything it will probably increase the take outs with people trying to intentionally end someone elses race.Nikhil wrote:That's the point, so many people ride around like retards, t-boning the crap out of others and going for crazy gaps they can't hit every lap. Phathry, personally I dont think you can really compare driving games to this game.
It's only going to make the racing less fun with people scared to go near each other or take any risks. How many people in the rF supercross races managed to run 20 clean laps?

Really? They're both racing simulators. The point of racing is to finish first, usually that means not crashing...BuddyTheElf wrote:Phathry, personally I dont think you can really compare driving games to this game.

I ran a couple of the Lites mains w/o crashing. And if I knew it was going to impact my finishing position more I would have crashed less... The MX sim races are boring to watch because you rarely see a real pass. It's either blow the guy off the track, or pass then when they're on the ground... People here need to learn how to race and make passes or else we'll never be taken seriously.

Re: rider falloff
I guess I'm commenting from the side of people that just play the game for fun and dont do all the big organised events so what I want is maybe different from what you want. I just dont like the idea of having to sit out the whole race because I made a bit of a mistake on the first lap and nailed my rider. I just want to go on 03 or whatever and have some fun races with people where I dont have to worry about casing a big quad or not getting a scrub back because I'll get back up again and carry on.
If this was implemented it would make the game much harder for new comers or people that havnt been here for very long to learn/improve on.
Maybe there could be different lengths of time that it takes for you to get back up depending on the severity of your crash rather than a big crash ending your race completely.

Maybe it can be posible as a server command for the race hosters. That you can set it on and off, just for the organised races.
I also agree with BuddyTheElf, when if a kid just pin it at the start and doesn't brake? Just to make guys crash and don't let them ride the race anymore, and the kid quits? But for the organised races it would be a cool option I think.

If that happened then more bans would be taken into consideration
