Joystick Input/Output adjustment
Can we have what the title says? Right now it's linear. It'd be nice to have the curve a little flatter at the bottom so that initial input isn't 1:1, but if you push the stick all the way in a direction it would be 1:1.

I thought about this, and I'm going to buy a Razer tournament addition because you can change the resistance with the sticks. Hoping that'll help.

Re: Joystick Input/Output adjustment
If you buy the Razer, turning the resistance up feels kinda weird. It's harder to push but it doesn't snap anymore, the initial resistance is about the same but it's harder to move when you get close to it's max movement (probably not what you were thinking).
I only bought it for the resistance, which I turned all the way down so it felt more broken in since my last controller had a very broken in stick. I never turn the resistance up. Maybe you'll like it, but when I play I have to hear and feel the stick snap when it hits it's max position- feels to weird when you can't feel that, it's like you can't tell if you're using it all the way or not.

Re: Joystick Input/Output adjustment
I asked for this same thing a while back, http://forum.mxsimulator.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=10139 , but it got me nowhere lol. I would absolutely love this as I'm not the best with smooth transitions on a joystick, it's hard for me to just move the stick a tiny amount at a time. Please JLV, this is another great idea that would benefit many people playing this game.

DXTweak2 works on 64-bit OS's if you just leave it minimized while playing. You're not able to save a profile though.
It does exactly what is being asked for here...

Description:
This is an update to the DXTweak application that works with newer USB devices. Has support for Windows® 98, 98se, Me, 2000, and XP.
Appears to be lacking Vista or Win7 support.

No shit sherlock.
Like I said, it works, but you're unable to save the profiles, you just have to leave it minimized while playing.

Re: Joystick Input/Output adjustment
Oh, cool. I saw in that other thread that you said you were on XP and that other guy said it wouldn't work so I just assumed it wouldn't work on 7. I'm gonna try this.Phathry25 wrote:No shit sherlock.

You can't make true progressive or degressive DirectImput with this.
DXTweak allows you change calibration information and deadzone settings of a DirectInput game controller and test the effect of the changes directly.
You can change single axes, like on pedals to some what progressive but more of a steep change. Not joysticks.
