starting gate

Post by barrington314 »

if someone modeled a starting gate, would a single "statue" starting gate work? would be nice to have the option to use a real gate. and only have to move and rotate 1 line.

er, actually would either have to model it with a gap for dog house, or just make 2 20 man gates.

Move and rotate one line? You're not placing them by hand are you?

me be retard... does that work for odd angles? like a 45 degree?
my question still stands though. its not a big deal by any means, just thought a more realistic gate would be cool. if i knew it would work, i could maybe start TRYING to model one. should be something easy to learn on. and maybe have it done for next year. or for supercross. :D

I usually place the doghouse first then use "gate2" to set up the gate. If you wanted to you could make a base for the gates. They'd obviously have to be separate from the actual gates though. The easiest way would probably be to model it in with the doghouse.

On the topic of startgates, I'd still like to have different start gates for different tracks please

I'm just getting [NaN 0 NaN] when I try running that command. I've tried numerous things mbut always end up with NA.

Is this how it works: gate2 1925.9 1539.08 0 [spacing=4] [trail=4]

Aeffertz asked a perfectly relevant question 5 days ago. Resourceful on his part. Nice try though...

Who gives a fuck? If he doesn't bump this topic some other stupid cock sucker will come along and bitch at him for making a new topic.

Maybe next time you could just shut the fuck up and mind your own business?
