Injuries
I've been trying to think of a way to make the racing more fun and came up with this. I've been practicing for AX and most the guys I see on there can run a faster lap then me but crash 70 times a race doing a trick section or something. Pretty sure the game already detects how hard a crash is and penalizes you from getting up based on that but if it kept track of the crashes and after you crashed hard enough you would be out of the race or I minor crash maybe a 50% reduction in power or defaults you back to a high stability setting for the rest of the race. I really think this would make the racing more intresting and players would have to ride a lot smarter.
Anyone else like this idea?

Re: Injuries
I agree it is a simulator. When you ride in real life, you can't just go and blitz through shit and crash without at least being worn out physically and mentally. By mentally, I mean the times where you crash and have to wait to process what happened.

Re: Injuries
Most of my wtf crashes usually are slide outs or because of a lagging player.
Most slide outs and small crashes would not trigger anything but it would penalize the guys goin 4th gear tapped over every section just to quad a double double or something. If your into AX sometimes even the top guys don't blitz the woops but in mxs everyone in the field tries it and most fail but usually don't lose enough time to justify not trying it.

Re: Injuries
I wouldn't mind a yard sale crash costing your more time. The only thing is it's harder to tell a crash is bad than you think. Sometimes something minor will put a lot of force on the rider so the obvious force check might not work as well as you'd expect.

Re: Injuries
So if I slide out and tear my ACL I can't play for 6 months? Sounds fun

There not long term when you crash out you just go to warmup mode or invisable untill restart.

Re: Injuries
How about basing the time it takes to get up on cumulative impacts over the course of a race? So you get a yard sale or two with little penalty, but towards the end of a race if you keep wadding up you will start taking longer and longer to get back up...

Re: Injuries
That would be good, but I still feel there should be stiff penaltys for crashing hard.
