Main Event track vs Qualifying/Heats track

Post by Ddavis »

I think it would be cool to have jlv release two versions of each track, one would be qualifying/heat races and the other one would be main event. Qualifying/heat races would be how they are currently, then maybe on the main event version have ruts built into the turns and different types of erosion type obstacles (Rougher sand, overall gnarlier sections) for everyone. Thoughts? (Since erode is out of the question for most computers)

I agree; would make it more realistic in my opinion.

I`m so glad the suggestion box isn't flooded with people asking for tear offs and 85s! Awesome idea Devin.

I like it. Wish the online erode was not so much work cause it would be nice to start a prepped track and finish like the main. Maybe even have a way to save the erode for the next moto or something one day but i like the idea Devin.

I think that another track would be cool, but not as effective as simply using a track like we do now and doing same-day qualifying.

I love this idea, barrington was kinda doing it on the first couple 2013 tracks, putting some inside ruts in the corners, but I especially like the idea of the other sections getting a little bit of work, get 1 main line and 2-3 little lines through the whoops, like real life, and a couple of the jump takeoffs where you have to really put the power down getting a bit rutted up.

A rut in the whoops would cause the world's first whole-field pileup in a main event in sim. It'd be chaos

I was trying to convince Chex the other night on TS to do this for nationals this year. Practice, qualifying and moto 1 all are ran on the tame version, the rutted out moto 2 track is released 10 mins before races to make it truly a surprise. I think this would be gnar!
