Ability to adjust your own riders height and weight

Post by JJH186 »

This would be very interesting in my opinion, i think it would change a lot of the way you ride, not everyone is the same by height and weight, tell me what u think on this.

Everyone would just make their rider as light as possible.

Everyone would be the shortest/lightest weight possible anyway.

I guess it wouldn't work right now with the static rider points. Rather more customized bike, add things such as different weight to the bikes and be able to adjust tire pressure.

Its been discussed before, don't think it will happen. The best way to go about it is to looks at the pros/cons of said height/weight and then add them as presets to already ingame stability features. Example, say you are tall and heavy. Since you are tall you now have more leverage on the bike and your range of movements of forward and backward are increased but it also takes you longer to get into positions because of the added distance. Since you are heavy it adds weight and slows the bike some but the bike is more sensitive to your inputs because you can man handle it better. As cool as it sounds all I did was re-word rider movement settings, change the value of rider weight, and stability levels like force and leveling.

Wouldn't the best rider probably be light/tall because its less weight, yet you have more leverage by being taller?

With it as I said, downsides would be the movement time and the stiffness of the bike. Movements speed would be slower to compensate for the longer limbs to get into place and you would have the same sort of forced control over the bike. However, yes, chances are a tall/skinny person would quickly become the favorite.

I'd like to see a 6ft4 300lbs guy do a seat bounce.

At the Crawfordsville National last year, there was some big guy on a 450. He wasn't 6'4", but I wouldn't be surprised if he passed up the 300 pounds

During the LL qualifier or the National? During the qualifier in the one of the old guy classes my Dad was trying for there was a dude so big he wore a hockey jersey and duct tape around his boots. I have to assume thats the same guy.

What if more weight gave you better traction like when you lean back and forward, and if you're taller you would need to get lower (suspension setting or something) but you had more of an influence on the bike.

Weight - The heavier you are the more traction you get, so if I came out of a corner and was sliding, I could just lean back to get more traction with a down side of being slower and you would have a less likely chance of sliding out the front wheel, where as being light lets you go faster but you have a small impact on the bike.

Height - If you were short you would have a better time going through bumps and maybe rhythm sections (because you can stay low) where as if you were tall you would need to get lower on the bike when going through bumps (added suspension setting or added button) but you'd have a better time doing things like seat bouncing and controlling the bike.

You might also have to change weight and height based on what bike you ride.

Conclusion:

Short = staying low and going through bumps but have less effect on the bike (also maybe move faster but have to move/work harder on the bike to get it to go where you want)
Tall = jumping higher and good at seat bouncing but have a harder time going through bumps (also maybe move slower but can move/work less on the bike to get it to go where you want)
Heavy = added traction but less speed and requires stiffer suspension (also maybe move slower but can move/work less on the bike to get it to go where you want)
Light = you get extra speed but you have a smaller impact on the bike (also maybe move faster but have to move/work harder on the bike to get it to go where you want)

Tell me what you guys think, also this may not be right but I thought that it would change up the game a little if this feature was added.
