I think it's more of a do it out of respect thing. I mean if a team doesn't want you running stuff with their name and number on it you should just respect that and if you want to that bad then do it single player. If you run it online no one can stop you, but you will look bad and people won't be a fan of you. However I do agree with the model thing, I think it's completely stupid and selfish to hold off on a release of a model and/or template just for a team.

There's kids on this game that look at all the amazing bikes being released and they're probably like... its in the game, legal to use, but someone says I can't? It's not like they're trying to rip it or claim they made it, they just want to look fresh. With that said, if someone was using one of my team bikes, I don't care. As long as they aren't using my team name, go for it.

Back on topic, Tysen is right. As an example, SD is the only team with skins on attacker's Suzuki and if some back of the pack rider in 00 is riding the bike, it gets under my skin.

DP but this is why I try to release a public version of our team bikes, they might not exactly be the same same as far as add ons and what not but the kit is the same.

And really? Is it that much of a problem to have some joe running in the back with team skins? Nobody cares. Everyone knows that theyre not actually on the team. Again, I still think the problem is when guys run team stuff and then change their name to "Team Name | Joey Loop-out" to really make it look like theyre on the team. That's an issue.

Because we put in the work to make our team look better than others. The same as other teams do for them selves. That is like Kyle chisolm running RV's bike in a race. How stupid would he look, and not being on the team? Most people who bitch about not getting what the "Pros " have is jelly because they do not have it in the first place. Want something great, make something great on your own. I see it as pretty cut and dry. Now as Davis said, it is a video game Haters gunna hate lol. Just respect creators of the community.

Plus if the guy was rocking my gear/bike and was crashing all over the place, not sure how u guys could tell a difference, if he was blazing fast than by all means run it lol.

most people are running the spazztic bike because when they released it and they see this is the 2013 and it wont be released till after season people in the world are impatient and dont give half a shit i can understand where every point of view is coming from and yes you should respect teams and it would aggravate i guess 50% of everyone if they see it because obviously it means they have no respect for a good teams wishes. from the other point of the view they know they cant make the team so i feel they ride the bike cuz its not released and they wanna feel like a part of having something thats supposed to be private. i think everyone kinda enjoys having a bike model or skin private to themselves and these new guys coming in wanna be a part of that so thats why i feel they do it. understandable from all reasons here but again not much you can do about it i guess like MXSP does most teams would have to release a public version not sure how much that would hurt a team to do but thats there choice.

You guys are missing my point. Skins are one thing, entire models are another. When it comes to team skins yes, it's good to be unique, however, depriving the rest of the community from 2013 models just so you can be "special" is kinda messed up. Sure it's your model and you can do what you want with it but don't expect people to have a good opinion of you if you go showing it around, only releasing enough so that a team can use it and everyone else can't. Just imagine all the sick skins and teams and model-edits/fixes could be out by now if those models and psds were released.

Seems pretty simple that if you're not on the team then don't run the their stuff. Especially if it is stated in the release. I don't care about it that much but thats what is a bonus about being on a team, you have your own custom stuff. I think its a big deal in big races for sure, it would suck to think some guy is on your team and he's not. It would look retarded on the livestream too.
