3rd person view & uphill

Post by Lo2Rider »

I'll try to explain my mind as clear as possible.

I play the game with the 3rd person view. I have more fun with it, the view of the all bike "help" to correct the lack of feeling of the rear wheel, as it is in real life.
The only problem is while uphills... The camera doesn't move on the Y axe, on a track without elevation there is no problem but, on a track like Glen Helen, i can't see anything in front of me.

Here is a picture of my problem :

Is there any way to correct it? I can't find anything in the game's options, "rigid 3rd person camera" doesn't change anything.

Go into grapghics settings, and change the FOV, 1st person height, and 1st person angle until the camera is set at where you want it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but last time I checked, those parameters adjust 3rd person aswell.

Hmm, my bad, I was at school when I wrote that. Didn't have The ability to check it out. Sorry.

Yes, changing 1st person setting and FOV doesn't correct the problem.

Is there any other tips from someone on the forum playing with this view?
Or is there any plan from JLV to make the 3rd person camera work on the Y axe as it does on the X axe?

Just get used to it. After a few times up a hill I pretty much know what to expect.

You can try this:
There's the --chase-center command line option (try --chase-center 0,5,0) but that only changes the center, not the angle. I'll add adjustable chase elevation and distance in a future version.

I'm not sure if it'll fix your problem but you can try.
