default demo missing

My computer recently crashed and I was only able to recover the most basic MXS stuff. My entire personal folder was wiped out, but the game seems to be intact. After re-downloading all of the models and a few of my favorite skins, I went to watch a demo but found all of my old saves as well as the "default" recording one. How can I get the default back and start recording demos again?

When starting a new race in singleplayer over on the upper left corner there will be an option to record demos. Turn it to yes.
