Side plate and Front plate jm's - Help Needed

Post by Jacko #828 »

I'm trying to get my own numbers that I've put on in photoshop to work in game. In my pack I hace excluded the front plate and sideplate.jm files when saf'd. But still the numbers still show up on top of the ps'd numbers?

I have opened up other team skins with notepad ++ who have used photoshoppped numbers and deleted the side plate and front plate jms, to see if I have done it correctly. I have everything but the front and side plate jms, but still the numbers still show up on top of the photoshopped numbers in game. Could anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong?

Pcitures of what I mean..

It does this with both the 250 an 450. I've tried renaming the side plate and front plate jms but still it doesn't work :?
In my .saf I have these files..
crf250_fork_lower-2012 Yosh.jm
crf250_fork_upper-2012 Yosh.jm
crf250_frame-2012 Yosh.jm
crf250_swingarm-2012 Yosh.jm

And the same with 450s, just crf450 instead.
Could anyone please help me! :(

Thanks in advance
Jack

name your jms different...since they are named same as the original, the game loads the plate jms from the original release...

name them eg. crf250_forks_lower-2012 Yosh yourteamname.jm, same for the other jms and name the skin/norm/spec correctly, then it will work

So if I name all the jms like that excluding the plate an side plates, that'll be fine? Also when you mean name the norm/spec/skin correctly, what do you mean by that? They must be named correctly now, or else they wouldn't work? :?
Thanks for replying :)

yeah, name like this jms that you want to use (frame/forks/swingarm)

if you name your jms like:
crf250_forks_lower-2012 Jacko.jm, etc

then your maps will be named:
skins crf250-2012 Jacko-skinname.png
normal map crf250-2012 Jacko_norm.png
spec map crf250-2012 Jacko_spec.png

the names has a reason in mxs, so if you know how it works, you have no problem to name them
