Can't make another directory for personal folder

Post by Noriyaro »

I cut the local/mx simulator folder and paste to d:\mx simulator and used this command mklink /d /J "%NoriYaro%\AppData\Local\MX Simulator" "D:\MX Simulator" I get The system cannot find the path specified. what Did i do wrong? Seriously jlv should do something about this in the next update like give an option to choose mxs personal folder adress. I also want to ask why does the bigger personal folder lag the game? Even if it loads all the files in the game from it why should it lag
thanks in advance

It's pretty standard for Windows apps to use the local appdata folder like that.

Maybe you entered the mklink in correctly. Mine worked. Move the original PF to my documents or something. Then delete the one that's in the local app data folder. Copy the one that's in you're documents into the new place you'd like your PF to be saved. Then use command prompt and enter the mklink. It should tell you, "..conjunction was successful..". I didn't like the fact that everything saved in that initial location either. I had to 'Show Hidden Folder & Files' just to find the folder which I didn't like either. Once you have created the mklink you will notice there is still a MXS PF in the local app data folder. It should have an arrow icon on the folder icon. If you right click it and click properties you will notice it says there is no data saved in that folder. I was having similar issues so ask me if you have any problems. As I had a couple but no one was kind enough to walk me through it.
