How to make the AI faster?

Is there anyway to make the AI better than they are? I play them on expert and lap them within the 2nd-3rd lap on all the tracks. My game gets laggy playing online, but when i play with only 1 or 2 AI racers, its fine....Thats why im asking

On the stock tracks I doubt they can be improved much without reprogramming. They could be trained a little better on the supercrosses but it wouldn't be worth the effort since they'd still be very slow.

Thanks for the answer, I just have been wondering. making the AI faseter would be a good improvement to maybe to have in a later update.
