Moving rider position (render)

Post by onefotyfo »

I can render a bike just fine (basic render) but when i need to render a rider, i am stuck using p2sta's basic setup. the only reason i can render riders now is because his setup, so i am grateful for it, just tired of identical rider position in my renders. Here's the scene:

I would like to move the rider's hand onto the handlebars and keep the other hand (on the rear fender) in the same position its in now, but if i try to move just certain verticies on the arm, i think i'm stretching the UV map and distorting my gear...? How is everyone moving the rider in your renders? Do i need armature? My rider currently doesn't have armature in this scene. Also, how do i skin the bike stand and the wall in the background? Will i have to make them one solid color or paste an image to them since there is no template/UV map for them? and wouldn't i assign that skin to them as a UV coordinate? Sorry for all the questions, but i didn't want to bother anyone on the forum with a PM this size, so i figured i would post this here. Thanks in advance for any help provided.
