lag spikes.

i just purchased a new gaming pc. for the most part i am very impressed. its runs 20 riders 120 fps with graphics maxed out. i have one problem though. HUGE lag spikes. im not sure what the problem is. it stays a 120 then drops to 8 fps for a few seconds, then back to 120fps. another 10 or so seconds later it happens again. its really making it impossible to ride and garanteeing a crash when it happens. any ideas why it happens/how to fix? thanks

Make sure you don't have anything running in the background. Try disabling Windows update and your antivirus software if you can't find anything obvious.
