Creating a cutout in photoshop?

Post by bc45 »

How do you create a cutout in photoshop? I tried using the pen tool to outline everything, but then what do you do?

This is a new model, so I actually do need to create one, and are the tutorials on "creating" one or "using" one, because I already know how to use them.

if the unwrap is good, render a diffuse/color/block map (however you might call it in your program) then you can select the desired parts very easy in PS and edit it.
Tennis, Basketball and Baseball all requires one ball
Motocross requires two!

So you have a reason to create your own, good man.
In the first Tutorial I did, admittedly not amazing. I go over how to use a cutout I then go over Vector masking logo's. Pretend the area you want the cutout is just a giant logo and the exact principles apply.

So do you create like a big square around the whole template with the pen tool, and then outline the plastics? or just outline the plastics and creat a vector mask?

By the way thank you so much! :)

Bingo. If you really want to, put the vector ask over a folder and just throw everything in the folder.

Outlining is easy with a diffuse map. Just saying
Tennis, Basketball and Baseball all requires one ball
Motocross requires two!
