Well to say it real quick my internet isnt the best by any means, only 3 down. I am just curious to why MXS only uses 0.1 Mbps instead of all available internet? As you can see in this picture below, I was downloading the new NVIDIA driver while watching the RF Amateur races and noticed MXS takes the same amount of internet as Teamspeak. TS even shoots up to 3.0 every once and a while but sim stays at the same. Did another test where sim is the only program open and still the same thing.
So the question Is there any way to make sim use the available internet to get less lag? Or will it not effect the lag since it is ping related? Dont know much about networking so just want to figure out.
It only needs enough to send player states which are about 50 bytes per player. It sends 32 updates per second. It could send 128 per second to get rid of about 16 ms of lag on average but it'd be a waste of bandwidth.
