Re: texture question?
The best way to get that to work, would be to use that image as shading.ppm, and use desaturated decals underneath. That would combine both MVA and MXS track texturing methods, and would look might good in my opinion

Re: texture question?
Or you can do what Gordy did with Donington, which is make a 1025 decal, and scale it to 1025(I think), and place it dead center on the map. It'd be shit quality, so you can just raise up the image size.

Re: texture question?
But if you want the fine detail of the dirt, you will need a tileable dirt texture underneath. Reducing the opacity of the overlay image just doesnt have the same effect as setting it to a mode like 'overlay', like photoshop.

Re: texture question?
Yea, exactly. Which is why this system is far superior over the MvA texturing system. But don't listen to me, I've never even seen the MvA editor, let alone did anything with it.

Re: texture question?
Whatever , you can get more detail on decals system but you spend fucking 15hours trying get a descent decal while you can make a fucking badass textures in 1hours if it was MVA system

Depends on who it is. I can whip up a good looking track texture in 10 minutes

Re: texture question?
its funny because you are the only guy who likes this system and can do good textures.... Half of people around here could make MVA textures really easy and think almost impossible make good decals.

Re: texture question?
I can use the MXS way tons better than anything I could do for MVA.
