Placing Tuff blocks HELP

Post by zack48richey »

Just wondering is there a way you can place a line off tuff blocks instead of placing them 1 by 1?

You can press D to duplicate a tough block.

You'd have to make a JM file with multiple blocks to do that.

You can place them in a line like:
  • Place the 1st bale where you want it
  • Select the bale you just placed
  • Place the correct # of intermediate bales (D as aeffertz mentioned)
  • Place the last bale where you want it
  • Hit "I"
Its good for sections where the spacing will be even (like whoops for example) but not so much for a area with lots of jumps because you will still need to mess with the spacing of them and then they wont be straight anymore. If you want to get pervy with it you can put gradients down along the lines and curves you want. Then you can place the bales manually and hit the "snap to gradient" button (it will snap to the gradient you have selected in "gradient placement"). If you have logos you want to face in you have to make sure the lines are going the right direction otherwise they will all be facing out.

JLV, if you read this can you please make it so we can select and duplicate multiple bales at once? It would be super helpful for rhythm sections where both sides are the same, do one side select them all and duplicate to the other side. I know you are a busy guy but it would really make placing tuff blocks faster.
