Budds Creek

Post by Voutare »

Hello,

I'm making Budds Creek. I have the Haggqvist style terrain made, and this is what I have:

Now, I need some help from the locals:
What direction is the race running?
What start is the race using?
Will the chicane section before the start be in?
Will there be any other changes to the track which I should know about?

Also, if there are any locals who know the track workers, possibly ask them about things that they will do differently specifically for the National? This is such a dynamic track every year, and It's difficult to judge what they are going to change each year.

Thanks,
Kyle.

Why not contact JLV and use the stock terrain as a base?
only one to win something real from the game!

JLV's base isn't very accurate, since it's heights and stuff are mostly hand drawn. It's easier for me to work from scratch than anything else.

And yes, I can do the flat track.

Thank youu :D. Are you gonna make it as a separate track with different timing gates ? Because then maybe we could use the track for the TT-championship :)

with jlv's track you do, but if you look closely they moved the gates to the left of the picture.

As far as I know, and not being a local guy, they use the lower start and most of the time keep the track path similar but will change whats in those sections. As far as direction who the hell knows, if I was to guess I'd say 180 out of the start. They have only used the other way once out of maybe the last 5 years. I would just make last years track and wait until like Tuesday when Pressday videos and pictures come out, then get everything finalized and released.

Okay so basically I'm looking at a counter clockwise track, and the lower start. No chicane behind said start, and possibly a new section which I have no idea about.

I'll probably email the owners or something.

Everything that has needed to be said has so far. But I used to live in Fredericksburg VA, and rode a few races there back in 07 ( year of mxon ). I could test, or give input if needed. Anything to help out I guess..

im sure they are going to use the bottom start and make a left off the start, i raced there in march so if you need a tester i know the track very well in the form it was in, i know they are going to change some stuff for sure but that it going to be hard to find out. good luck, a real budds is going to be sick!
