my gates wont show up aand my hay bails are turned the wrong way

You have to give us more information. What do you mean by gates? Timing gates or starting gates? What do you mean your bales are turned the wrong way? Like they are upside down or they are perpendicular to the track and you want them parrallel?

Side note - told my math teacher I'd never use those terms or those words ever in my life, damn it.

If you want someone to take the time to write out a response, take the time to write a solid question. Give a description of things you've done and when it stopped working.

Most likely you deleted the starting gates in the timing_gates file. Open a new blank track folder and copy the timing_gates file into your track folder.
